I'm really enjoying the ongoing battle between chibianh and Tarnished Traveller...really a back and forth battle for at least the past couple of months.
They were both coming up on me pretty fast until the ol' PS3 started cranking out the WUs. I'll enjoy that advantage while it lasts.

Does anyone out there know how to change the system Fonts on Lotus Notes for Mac?
I use the program to connect to my company email while at home, but the fonts are so small I have to change my display resolution in order to read messages.
The only thing I've found is under system preferences which allows you to change the font, but not the size of the font.
The help menu tells how it can be done in Windows by changing the lotus.ini file settings, but all it tells me for the Mac version is to go to Preferences.

I originally bought an mbox mini and upgraded to Pro Tools 7.4.2.
In my account on digidesign (Avid Audio)'s website I can download various installer packages and the authorisation codes. However it only goes up to Tiger, and Leopard.
I was wondering , if I upgrade to Snow Leopard. . .does the 7.4.2 version of Pro Tools LE for Leopard run on SL?

How do you record shows on your Mac and archive into mp4 files? :confused:
I can't! That's why I'm looking for a DVR solution. I can get an HD DVR receiver from Dish for $200 and that's looking like my best option at this point. I just garaged my Yamaha surround system and picked up a Samsung Home Theater system--the HT-Q70 system. 1,000 watts, 5 dvd carousel, HDMI out, plays DIVX and has a USB port that allows me to play DIVX movies off of a thumb drive. I think the HT-Q80 is out now and it has HDMI in and out.

So i bought this 1.5TB external hard drive and didnt see it required reformatting or i wouldnt of bought it. So now i plug it into my mac, go to disk utilities and it doesnt even pick it up. Its just picking up my normal mac hard drive.
Any ideas of what i can do?

You are welcome to expend the effort to discover the back story. If you choose not to, go ahead keep spouting misinformation and jingoism, but be prepared to be called on it or to simply be ignored as lacking credibility.
No offense, but I'm at least adding something to this thread, granted, it is how I see things, and not the absolute truth. But if you want to come and tell me I'm wrong, at least have the decency to point out why. And if you don't want to write, at least post a link.

What about when you sign up for life insurance only to find out you cant get it because google sold your location to the insurance co. complete with logs of you going to (or near) the liquor store on a daily basis. Or the clinic.

in the middle of way open area at Union Square Park in NYC had 2 dropped calls. Customer services response? Install app on iphone that lets us know where your call was dropped. Sure let me do your work, and pay for that privalage.
And how do you expect them to find out what is going on? Magic? All they wanted you to do was install an app that would let them run a diagnosis. Are they supposed to send some one over to you to take your phone and install it for you?
You do realize that that would increase the time it would take them to find the problem by, a helluva lot vs. the few seconds it would take you to install that app. And it would be wasting a lot of gas and pay time to send that person out for something you could do in a few seconds.
How lazy can you be to complain that they dare want you to do a few seconds of work so they can help you?
I've never come across a company that will baby the customer that much. Apple still insists I drive my computer over to their store for them to look at. When I was calling in about a broken monitor, I had to *gasp*, look for the serial number on my computer for Gateway. I guess you'd expect them to send some one over to do that for me?
